Investor Education Programs & BestPractice

  • The Korea Council for Investor Education (KCIE) is a non-profit organization dedicated to investor education and protection. With the participation of 7 financial authorities and agencies in Korea including the Financial Services Commission, the Financial Supervisory Service, the Korea Financial Investment Association, and the Korea Exchange, the KCIE was established with a mandate to promote investor protection and develop a mature investment culture by providing free investor education services to the public.

A monthly education session on risk management and the latest financial market trend is provided to help investors better respond to changing
market conditions.
Weekend Finance
Program
Designed for those who can't find time to take a course during the week,
the Weekend Finance Program aims to expand people's practical
knowledge about asset management as well as to provide information on current market issues and new financial products and services.
On-Site Education
Program
A customized investor education is delivered to the public through the On-Site Education Program. An educator will come to a location of your
choosing to provide a lecture or training on any topic you request. This type of program is highly effective in improving the public's access to financial
education.

the KCIE provides financial education for primary and secondary
school students based on model textbooks and audio-visual materials it developed.
Hands-on Activities/Field Trips The KCIE also organizes exciting training sessions where young people may gain hands-on experience of the financial world and increase
their understanding of how the capital market works.

Financial Self-sufficiency Programs The KCIE operates education programs customized to the needs of the
less privileged such as low-income or single-parent families, those
suffering disabilities, and North Korean defectors. These programs are
primarily intended to assist them in building their financial
self-sufficiency.
